Commercial Matters:

Over my career, I have successfully concluded a multitude of commercial arrangements. My achievements cover a wide range of agreement types: from commercial leases, sales, purchase or service contracts, licensing agreements, to financing agreements and partnership agreements. I have negotiated both commercial terms and legal clauses. Following negotiations, I have managed the relations between strategic partners over the life of the agreements. Thereby, I know the importance of interpersonal relations in any transaction or commercial dispute. In addition, have drawn up many business plans, economic projections and activity reports for shareholders. Acutely aware of the economic, legal, managerial and relational stakes involved in commercial issues, I am equipped to help parties to see beyond the confines of their dispute and find appropriate, lasting solutions.

Labor relations:

Industrial and employee relations have been a common thread running through my career. I have managed companies' often highly conflictual relations with trade unions and works councils, and negotiated numerous collective bargaining agreements. I have settled countless union grievances and industrial tribunal claims through negotiation, mediation or arbitration. In charge of Human Resources, I have negotiated numerous employment contracts and separation agreements. My interventions are based on the respect of all parties, their roles and their points of view, even when emotions run high, and on finding solutions that all parties can accept with dignity.

Industries:

My career has covered industries as diverse as tourism, air transportation, real estate development, sustainable energy and private investment. Although each business has its own particularities and culture, conflict dynamics are often similar, being based on relational issues. As a result, I intervene as effectively in the sectors I am fiamiliar with as in those I know on a more cursory basis.

Geographies, cultures and languages:

After starting my career in Germany, I spent 20 years working in Canada. Based in France for several years now, I continue to support companies and individuals in Canada, France and Germany. Perfectly trilingual (French, English, German), I know how to intervene effectively in relationships involving one or more of these cultures.
